It occupies the specialist space between plumbing and groundworks, with a dedicated focus on the repair, replacement and installation of water mains and supply pipes, including self-lay installations. This is the water engineering discipline practised within water companies, ranging from small domestic supply pipes to larger commercial mains. General plumbing experience alone does not establish competence across that range. The National Directory of Water Engineers helps customers find specialist companies across the UK and understand the experience and credentials relevant to their work.
We want customers to find water engineers whose experience, training and working practices can be checked with confidence.
Our ambition is to become an independent directory recognised by water authorities and water companies throughout the UK as a source of reliable specialists. That recognition must be earned through clear evidence and consistent standards.
Our joining commitments include ongoing training, two meetings each year, transparent customer service and regular evidence reviews. Each business sets its prices independently and remains free to compete.
Recognition is our ambition; no current water-authority endorsement is claimed.
